Any Scuba Divers out there??

Hi All,

Just got back from Yap island in the Pacific, diving for 5 days with manta rays and sharks! had a blast!
great hotel, good food and excellent diving..what else can one ask for on a diving trip!

For my next dive in 2010 I will either head back to Palau (dove last year there) or will be heading to Pohnpei or Chuuk islands. until then, diving here in Guam on weekends will have to do..

I'm sure there are some divers out there in Head-fi. let us know what your 2010 dive plans are!

I'm a scuba diver and I'm also a mountain biker, but I don't get into either activity nearly as much as immtbiker (I'm a mountain biker) who really should have called himself imscubadiver because that's where his real passion seems to lie.

Ok, so I'm not really a mountain biker, although I do own one such gadget and ride is on flat surfaces from time to time. That, and I ought to be ashamed of myself considering that I live in Grand Cayman are rarely dive these days.

you SHOULD be ashamed!!
but yeah I know how it is, as before this Yap trip I hadn't dove for almost 6 months although live right next to the ocean...I guess we all go through that phase.
however, this yap trip got me all excited in diving again!
now I have to send my stupid suunto watch back (again!) to get it fixed as it crapped out on me during the dive in Yap!

Living in Cairns I feel bad that I don't dive, there are so many opportunities up here.

My Economics teacher at school is even a dive instructor, I plan to exploit him next year for my introductory/open water license.

i have only dived once since my son was born 7 yrs ago... and i sure do miss it.
he's been snorkeling though, and the bug seems to have bit him... so when he's 10 we're going to get him qualified for the kiddie diver thing, and get into again as a family.

my favorite dives have been in Seychelles, Belize, Mexico.

I am a wannabe diver... Endless Ocean last year and I am so hyped about Endless Ocean 2. I watch every single documentary that includes the sea, dolphin and such. And the deep blue is one if not my favourite movie ever.

IRL I have never even used any scuba gear though . I am just to lazy to travel around the world to found water hot enough to make it enjoyable.

I just love diving! Unfortunately, of all my 200 logged dives, only 5 have been in the past 3 years

Favorite dives have been Bermuda (I <3 wreck diving) and Cozumel. Besides the requisite Cayman dive, my future dive goals include Antarctica

Got my open-water cert in August (Corn Islands, Nicaragua). It's a ton of fun. I'm really looking forward to doing a dive that isn't interrupted by random drills.

Off to Hawaii this coming summer
