Recommend movies from the 70s

Thread Starter
I was watching an interview with Jodie Foster and she said that the 70s was the golded age of movies. So I am interested now in the films from the 70s since I can easily rent the DVDs. Please recommend movies from the 70s. Thanks.

I would suggest a conspiracy thriller marathon! The genre was at peak in 70's American cinema.

All the President's Men
The Conversation
Marathon Man
The Parallax View
Three Days of the Condor

Network is one you have to see considering it's one of the most-quoted and sampled movies of all time.

Try The Last Detail from 1973. Terrific movie that is well regarded but not that well known these days.

Um. The Godfather
One Flew Over the Cukoos nest.
Taxi Driver
Deer Hunter
Star Wars
Alien
Clockwork Orange
Jaws
The exorcist
Rocky
Apocalypse now (though I'd recommend the redux)

and I really don't like movies.

Um, have fun?

A Boy and His Dog; an R-rated, rather kinky tale of survival.
