Thanks to Alex's pictures, I'll take the opportunity to thank Laura Adams for the great design on the cd cover art. This was the first time that I was fully involved in my cover design. It took almost 2 months to get this concept fully realized.

About the CD label itself, I was always fascinated with the spinning of the record label. Of course, CDs spin faster, but I hope the colors will spin some magic for you. I've wanted to do this kind of label since the early 90s when I first saw the Bang & Olufsen BeoCenter in an audiophile shop in Munich.

Listering to the samples now on my SR125is with Jumbo's.
Though im not into electric this keeps me trying the samples
My entire cd collection is made up of guitar heavy stuff and i must admit that this sounds pretty sweet, not all what im used to.

My compliments, now lets see what it does on the DT880.

Yeah, I had the RS1 in my studio for three weeks and indeed it sounded really sweet. I also checked it out with the DT880 with a tube amp, and I can assure you, you'll get serious bass with that set up.

As I said before, these are mp3s on the site. They're not nearly the same quality that's on the actual CD. The mp3s will always be missing frequencies in the low end.

Just heard this CD with my 3rd DT48a I bought from Asia.. The cups are all black.. The sound seems to be a bit different then the rest of my DT48a's..Extra smooth & relaxed.. Maybe the mogami extension cable has something to do with it.. But the sound with the headphone & the CD is distortion free beyond anything I have ever heard.. Maybe it's due to the bleeps & odd instruments, since the DT48a are used to measure hearing, can't explain it.. But if I ever go to another meet I will take these DT48a & ACIXs CD to use as a reference, & from my listening experience the combo is surreal.

Well, I use my DTs as a reference. One of the roles they played was to ensure that the sound steered clear of distortion. Yes, this album can really be used as a reference CD for headphones. There is enough deep bass, sound stage and instrument separation, depth and frequency extension to identify every function that headphones can offer. By the way, this works well on speakers, too.

Most of my headphone reviews were based on this album.
