How's the sound quality of the LG Chocolate Touch?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here owns the LG Chocolate Touch (yes, the cellphone) and if its sound quality is comparable to most media players out there.

I find it a bit milky.

Har Har. :P Really, anyone have an opinion of this phones sound and equalization settings?

This does belong in this section right? I was thinking that maybe it should go in gadgets instead, but I apologize if it is in the wrong place.

Since this thread isn't that old, I'll bring it back. I have the same question, though I own one and love it. My question is how is the fidelity compared to media players and even sound cards? I think it sounds great with my Sennheiser HD428S but I've honestly not heard anything better than this so I joined to ask the audiophiles about it.

Audiophiles may or may not know anything. We base things on: brand, other's opinions, magic as much as normal people. I have not heard one, so I cannot comment.

I have the one that I guess is the middle model at this point - not the first one, but someone said they came out with a new version now. For what it is it's a decent little player. You kind of need to use 128 but mp3's (or wma's) to get much on there, even with added memory, so if you hear big differences in quality at different rates that will be a concern. I'd advise not to stream music through the bluetooth because the sound quality goes way down. Direct out is much better. When I got mine they didn't include the adapter to go to 3.5mm cords & it's a proprietary adapter too - just a regular 2.5 to 3.5 won't work - allthough radio Shack did have the right one in stock. You'll want better headphones/earbuds for it too. Once I went a to couple dedicated mp3 players (Sony Walkman & now Cowon S9) I wasn't that enamored with the Chocolate's sound, but it is a decent option if you are just getting into portable players. With the new model it is certainly possible that they improved the sound quality as well. I have mine through Verizon & their Vcast software is a little clunky but if you're computer savvy (which I am definitely not) you can probably get around that fairly well. Hope this helps more than confuses.

Ben, you mean you bought the Chocolate 2? The chocolate 3 was the first model to come with a 3.5mm headphone jack and and the Chocolate Touch also has this, a USB data cable with a USB Mass Storage Feature and Music Synching. It also includes Dolby Mobile so it sounds a lot different from any model before. I hope I also helped to clear confusion.

Oh I should also add I play 192kbps WMAs on my phone, since I've read some opinions that they are better than mp3s.
EDIT- disregard that last statement, I learned from a bad source. I only use 320kbps MP3s now.
