I'm wanting to trade my A.K. modded SCHA. It's got pretty much all the standard A.K. mods outlined in the tweaks thread over at the Rock Grotto forums, and a JLH board built on protoboard. It's not as pretty as a proper PCB but it works great! I haven't been using any input caps but if you need them you can solder some onto Molex-style two-pin connectors and plug them in. Parts are standard as recommended for the mods. It's got the usual Alps pot, the headphone jack is switched in case you want to add additional line-out. The opamp is a LM4562MA. The whole amp was recently moved into a brand new 1U metal enclosure and looks very sleek (excluding the mounting feet, it's almost as thin as my TC-7510). It's very clean and quiet and sounds great, gain is standard. Please have a look at the pics below.
If I was selling this I reckon a good price would be $300-350NZ. But what I'm really looking for is a nice affordable stereo integrated amp. Something with a decent headphone jack and speaker output that's grunty enough for any future Stax rigs I might buy (for now I'll be plugging my SR-84 into it!). It'd also be nice if it had balance/treble/bass controls and not too large-ish so I could put it on my desk.
It looks like the items involved will be quite heavy so it's best if we keep it domestic. Please PM me! Thanks! Aristya
