I just bought a pair of KSC 75 for running. I didn't like the clip but I LOVED the sound. I was blown away by the clarity in the highs, i.e. the snare drum and symbols. They made my PX100's sound muddy and put a serious challenge to my SR 60's. Anyhow, I like bass however, I was wondering what pad mod would open up the sound on the 60's to make them sound more like the 75's? I'm debating a quarter mod on the stock pads, or ordering some bowl pads.

Try quarter modding the comfies and see if you like them.
If you don't, there's always the ever popular Sennheiser HD414 yellow pads, a lot of people like those + quarter hole modding them, even quartermod+reverse.
If that fails, you can consider bowls, but at that point maybe you should just move up the Grado chain

You can also put a $2.00 headband on the KSC75's to turn them into regular headphones. There are some suggestions in the KSC75 threads for which ones work.
I tried the quarter mod and my first impression was that i had less bass rather than more clarity in the highs. It's probably a double edged sword but losing bass in a pair of 60's isn't ideal. They still sound good but it just wasn't what I was looking for. Perhaps there's just a level of detail in the 75's and that's why people love them. I'll probably pick up a headband for them.
