Just ordered the SA5K's. If I like the basic presentation, I'll recable and mod inside the cups. I haven't read through the entire thread. Please give any recommendations to help. Thanks!

Cable should hold up for a good while, I've never had a problem with them but some people report fraying. Now sure what mod you were contemplating but there has been talk in another SA5K thread in regards to reaching that almighty 010 sound, considering they're basically the same headphone...

Yeah I'm not sure which thread as I post in most SA5000 threads (however rare they may be these days) and it was just general musings over mods. I believe it was member MDR30 who was going to attempt it.
