LCDs cannot burn in, they can suffer image persistence but that can be fixed by displaying white on the screen for a short about of time. They work by alternating the amount of light that can get through, you can't burn it. It's not like a CRT with phosphors or Plasmas with charged gasses.

Well, whatever it is, my Lynx never ever got its image back. The logo from 'APB' was forever greyed into the screen, and the computer suffered a similar thing. Whatever the case is (apart from the only two faulty LCDs in the world), the poor sod has a very un-lovely picture on his TV now.

I suppose I suffered from the antithesis of 'most'. I hate being unlucky.
