HD 595 - Page 5

A bit off topic but...

Sometimes a break from a particular headphone (or from headfi.org) can help us escape the 'disease' of listening more for sound quality and the flaws therein instead of enjoying the music. It happens to many of us, myself included! I find it's also helpful to switch headphones for a while (if you have that luxury), then go back to your old ones with fresh ears.

Anyway if your curiosity has won, and you catch this disease, that's my recommended treatment. :-)

What you mean is, that was how it was for you. I've had two 600s and one 580 over the years and sold them all. I still have the 595, still enjoying it.

Thread Starter
What is a good entry level DAC/AMP to pair with the 595's? Best bang for the buck and then in the mid priced range? Thanks! (here i go spending more money)

i just wanted to say thanks to all of you in this thread who gave me advice on the hd595 versus its hipper brothers. i upgraded to the hd600 and your observations on the differences between the two were very helpful. they are indeed quite similar in sound, although i prefer the hd600.

oh, and by the way, i am now completely cured of upgrade-itis. so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye head-fi!

The Amp that you want for the 595's is the Total Bithead, for SURE. They are a magical match. Unless you want to spend the extra money for an ibasso, I have not heard those but I am sure they are good. But what I can testify to because I have heard it with my own ears is that 595's + Total Bithead= Pure Magic and Perfect Sound.

Ha, another lunatic optimist.

You'll be back!
