Lost link to a Dynalo amp? - Page 3

Oh sorry Guil! (your full name is way too long to type).

Sorry to hear about your unit . I'm sure the wait will be worth it, my initially impressions are very positive (and I'll leave it at that for now).

Davids communication is really top notch!

BTW, Hebert is my last name, my first name is Guillaume (killer pronunciation effort for English-speaking people )
Hi Guillaume,

I'm curious about this amp, did you finally get yours? What are your impressions about it ?

cheers!

Hi equalizer,

I've had mine for around 3 weeks now. Mine are very positive, a great amp for the asking price. Only nit pick is the default gain is way too high (which is easy fix with a solder iron), but I think all the new units come with lower gain now (you can always ask when you order one).

First budget amp I've had that could actually drive/excite the HD650 to a "listenable" quality. Good looking and well built too, I'll get around to writing a proper review some time soon. Don't think there is any other comparable amps at it's price point apart from DIYing your own.

p.s. Also curious how your amp is going Guillaume.

Hi rayk,

Thanks for the quick reply and the impressions, that really, really pushes me just to the brink of ordering it... Any experience with this amp and the K701's ?

Indeed, I was planning to go the DIY route to build my own, but as you probably know, sourcing the parts for this has become a bit of a nightmare. Besides, I absolutely suck at casework so my work wouldn't look as nice as the Sheer Audio, let alone the Headamp versions.

cheers!

I'm very pleased with the amp! I posted a few thoughts in the JH13 thread if anyone's interested. Build quality is excellent, sound is phenomenal. I think it's a great bargain at 280$ + shipping.

I think it will perform well with the K701s, since the CKKIII does well with them (and people usually say both amps are comparable). Don't have access to a pair to test this sorry.

Guillaume, great to know your unit has been sorted out and you are enjoying it! I love my unit too.
