Union Workers Credit Services - providing credit services to the union workers of America

I got a letter from these guys in the mail, is this for real? It looks like it's not actually a credit card so I don't really understand what it *is*. I am working on raising my credit score(s), currently i'm at the low-to-mid 700s, is this a legitimate account that would help me in that aim or is it some kind of stupid scam?

Thanks

good chance it's a scam

Ripoff Report: Union Workers Credit Services Rip Off Union Workers Credit Services Rip off, mail $37 first then recieve card... Dallas Texas

as for your credit score, if youre in for the long haul, just use 4 credit cards, 2 from department stores, and pay off a 3-year car loan. After 6 years youll hit 800, which is WAY past the number you need for the best home loans.

if you need a credit score boost in the short-term due to wanting a mortgage or something, those "trick books" actually do help, though they only boost for a short while before the score tumbles back down.
