What is the best Format for Ripping in Wimamp

For the best best quality sound- what is the best option. There are two wave options? What is the difference- which is better?

I would say any lossless codec/format, like ex. FLAC.
No loss of audio data compared to the audio CD, but space saved and features added n comparison to WAVE.

I would use a different program to do your ripping. FLAC would be prefered for archiving as Wav is just a waste of space IMO.

EAC (Exact Audio Copy) is generally considered the preferred CD ripper, because of its secure mode, to make sure you rip the data off of the CD correctly.

If you wish to stick with Winamp though, krmathis is right; any lossless format should work. Flac is the most common.
