I only use cheapies like the CX250, which seem to be relatively durable and won't cause too much pain if they do break. The Senns have been tossed around and rolled over numerous times but are still going strong.
Somewhat on-topic: Not sure which earphone I used at the time, but in one instance when I woke up, I found that the cable to the earphone was wrapped around my neck. Fortunately, the cable of said earphone was quite thin, so the chances of me being strangled to death by headphone cord were slim. (That would look quite sad on an autopsy report!
