How to approach women / girls thread - Page 2

Most importantly, relax.

Second most important: listen to Uncle Erik's advice. Being a gay woman, I'm probably not the best person to give advice to a straight male on straight chicks, LOL!

Authenticity, confidence. Girls aren't shallow like us men, at least in my experience. I generally only date girls that I have known a while, in part because I have been told I am a little eccentric(something that I think some other head-fiers might be, this isn't meant to be an insult in anyway).

Well...I figure most of the head-fi community is a more mature community chuck filled with adults who can give commendable and insightful advice rather then the ole' 13 year old flame war crap found on most forums.

if a girl is interested, she will give you a signal in some way (generally subtle though). after that, it's up to you to approach her/start up a conversation.

See that is what I suck at...I am very bad at picking up signals and can barely tell what they are.

Bahahahaha. There are many people in both genders are extremely shallow but in different ways.

OP, here is one thing to keep in mind at all times: if are not yourself on the first encounter, do not bother being yourself at all. A polite ass is still an ass. A true man who is polite and has a sense of self worth should never be a poser or act any different to try to attract a woman. If a woman does not like you for who you are, that is their problem and not yours.... unless you are an ass

"Want to see my portable rig?" usually works fine for me.

1) Be confident.
2) Be attentive.
3) Look her in the eyes (also helps reinforce #1)

You can catch and hold the attention of nearly any girl you desire this way, in my opinion. Looks are optional. I approached a very attractive stranger in a café even though I was donning an extremely bushy beard at the time (i.e. face hidden), and followed my own advice. I got a date without any problem whatsoever.

Ha I am def. not a ass if I was a ass I prob would of had more experience then I have now because girls tend to like guys who are a ass at least until they get annoyed from it
