Just ordered the Beatles collection in stereo off Amazon for $2 plus $2.98 shipping. Received conformation email for $4.98 from Amazon. Now I am just waiting for the email from seller stating it was a misprint. How long do you think it will take?

Ha! I see you took the last and only one.

Chances of them honoring it, esp. if they're just a small/personal business, are so small they might as well reach into the negative territory.

Hell, I had to do it just to see what happened. Still haven't got the oops email yet.

Usually around 24 hours before you get the "We screwed up" email, from what I've seen when other people have found misprints like that.

In the UK they'd have to honour that agreement. I'd assume a similar law exists in the US.

when we ordered the Genesis SACD Boxset for peanuts, Amazon delayed and delayed the ship date. I eventually cancelled my order

Nope, they just say pricing error and cancel the order over here with an email.

Looks like this one didnt even go through that stage, the order just dissapeared from the recently placed orders page without any email or notification. Doesnt look like they even bothered charging and refunding.

That is exactly what happened. Today another one popped up for $2 with a different seller name but when you went to the veiw it link it was the same link. Oh well I just did it on a whim yesterday. Today I bought the set from Amazon for $175. Merry Christmas to me

In a case like this neither the US or UK would honor the misprinted price.

Hopefully never, and then some days later you receive a parcel.

Do not know how it works in the US but in Norway the seller would most certainly have to honor the price, as they are the professional part.
It is just some 3 months since someone bought 1st. class flight tickets with Lufthansa from Bologna (Italy) to the US and back for just ~$10. While the correct price should have been $10.000. Afaik the customers won the case.

Got an email from Amazon today stating sale has been canceled because the seller is "currently unable to accept payment from the Amazon website". So I ordered one from Amazon for $175 and it will be at my door tomorrow. Wish I could have got it for $2 but I knew 100% it would never happen. Can't wait to get it.
