Hybrid tends to compress the soundstage a bit for me. I have not fit problem with the stock eartips so that is what I stick to.

the IE8 double flange did the trick for me, more comfortable to my ears than sony hybrids. Maybe I'm just weird

who is this imposter u speak of? :P I do use sony hybrids but that is because I do not like the stock tips as much. The hybrids are just more comfortable to me but I did not listen with the stock tips long enough to see if they change the sound much compared to hybrids.

My bad, @rawrster Waiting for your impressions on them compared to CK10.

x2, IME that happens quite often with tips that have smaller openings than an IEM's nozzle. I use UE silicons.

It is a shame that UE silicons did not go well with me. They seem like they would go well and I don't really want to try Senn double flanges to see if it makes much of a difference. I'll stick with sony hybrids unless someone wants to donate tips to me which I don't see happening ever

LoL The Ortofon Stock Tips reminds me of the Denon Entry Level IEM's stock tips, which if is same of at least 80% similar, then i get what you mean for underperforming in noise-isolation =D And if Sony Hybrid Tips were out of my reach, Does the Typical Triple Flanges, Monster Gel / Foam Supertips fits the e-Q7? =))

For what I know, I think they should fit e-Q7.

They do fit. I used the foam supertips for a while and then the Monster triple flanges which is what I settled on eventually before I sold mine.

Oh Thanks Rawr and Tai, e-Q7 are the next on-the-list after i get my MDs and FA-003s for starters =) And btw both of you think if i get the iBasso D10 Cobra would it be sonically-synchronizing with the MD + e-Q7 + FA-003? Cause from the shallow conclusion i know some amps improves some headphone/iem's SQ  while will also worsen the SQ of some others. =S

(and yes sorry for this off-topic question >.<)

I real doubt D10 will make it worst, but in any case you can roll the opamp out for something more of your liking.

Alright, and i just checked HWZ Forums and Stereo_PS says Stock-Ins of the New D12 will commence once there is sufficiency from the iBasso Side. Now i am tied! Wonder should i just wait for D12 or grab D10 outta impatience, hope the exact waiting time won be long and Oct 10's iBasso out-shipment will includes Stereo's share of stocks

I'm not much of a portable amp person considering I don't have any but if the D10 is close to the D4 then it shouldn't make the SQ worse but better. Of course I only heard the dac section of the D4 with different opamp than stock.

I see! Hmm D10 like the D4 offers opamp but D12 allows BOTH single and doubles for op-amping and has double of the soundchip found on D10 which might be better i guess? I basically know zero about op-amping in practical aspect if you ask me (smack me for wanting to get an op-amp rollable amp!) But hmm either one i choose i guess it should be sufficient to crash-course on op-amping by asking the people from stereo on a practical guide xP

I'm one of the few people with the name matching Ortofon HD-Q7 amp (my review). I wonder how these pair together...
