Are the newer Sansa Clip+ & Fuzes better then e200 series?

I've got an old Sandisk Sansa e270 I've used happily for some time. It has served me well as a small gym MP3 player, and I've always felt the sound quality was pretty good. I recently experimented with Rockbox and (though its noisey as hell navigating menus) I think it sounds better using my lossless files.

I'm curious though as to whether the newer Sansa players sound better with their native firmware. I don't really like the appearance of Rockbox and it really does do something weird with noise when navigating that disapears when music is playing, but is annoying none the less.

Any word as to whether a Clip+/Fuze would be an upgrade SQ wise (this thing is small enough that size isn't a real concern).

Just curious if its the same thing in a smaller package before I drop $60. Anyone?

I haven't heard the older E series enough to compare, but I use the Clip, Fuze, and Clip+ and they all sound the same: excellent. I had a much more expensive setup with an amp that I was lugging around, but the Fuze has replaced it as my main player. It really is that good.
