Aman, I know u like the K701 for classical. To my ears this is how the T1 differs from the K702:
1. T1 has a slight emphasis on the upper bass and mid-bass.... bowed double bass sounds meatier on the T1. K702 actually sounds more accurate, in terms of resolution and pitch, but lacks some of the fleshiness of the T1.
2. Both headphones have the exact same resolution. I just do not buy the logic "I hear things on the T1 which I never heard on other hps"
3. The K702 highlights female voices, but does not beautify the rest of the mid-range to the same extent.
4. The T1 has a slight dip in the upper mids and smooth sweet treble.
5. K-702 upper mid-low treble transition can sound edgy occasionally.
6. K-702 seems to extend further in the highs.
7. K-702 seems to have a much larger soundstage and a more 3D-ness to its presentation.
8. T1 bass has greater impact, but there is a slight soft bulginess about the bass lines and ochestral bass drums sound a bit thick and smeared.
9. K-702 bass is slightly lower than neutral, but highly resolved and super tight at all times.
Which one do you like for classical and in what ways?
