Despite all of my good memories with these headphones, it's time to let them go... I have been using my closed-back headphones virtually exclusively, and it's a waste to have a good pair of HD 650's just lying around, not bringing joy to someone's ears.
So, for sale is a used set of Sennheiser HD650's. I do not have the original box, and the headphones will only come with the upgraded cable, which was made for me by forum member FallenAngel. Sorry, but unless there's interest in the cable, itself, I will not be willing to sell the headphones without the cable.
Condition: Mostly very good. They do suffer from the usual headband-paint-chipping problem that so often shows up on this model, but beyond that, there's not much to say. The earpads still have plenty of life in them, unless you like them very stiff.
History: I got them in the Spring of 2008 and I am the second owner. I have not been using them (except for a couple listens) for a while... maybe since around May, 2009.
Cable: Custom cable, created by head-fi member FallenAngel. I believe that the material was mil-spec SPC. It is terminated with a 1/4" Neutrik plug. On the other side are rhodium plated connectors (I believe by Cardas). The length is somewhere around 3.5 meters / 12 feet.
