See, I recognize crapback's avatar, so I sort of know who we are mocking, I recognize the ridicule, but I can't really decide on whether those artist are serious or not?

I feel a little stupid now, I must admit.

I think they're genuine, that's why it's funny . As a satire it's not very funny IMO.

I was hoping they were genuine too, but it somehow seemed too good to be true

Edit: 'pedia to the rescue, making it all seem a bit more clearer.
(But reading a few the sources listed just made me just a bit more dizzy.)
