Depends, for the first job you'll probably need a good GPA to land the interview but obviously that's a long way from the job, it's more a screening device to limit the number of people to a manageable number before interview start.
I went to my graduation, chatted a bit, chilled, it was cool. Four hours, whatever, it was fine.
