Flats vs. 414 w/ quarter mod

I prefer the quarter mod non reversed 414 pads on my HF2s to bowls , comfies, and reversed 414's.

Should I try flats or is the 414 quarter mod close enough ?

Flats

I have both and to me the flats are better.
People complain about the bass with the flats but you can taylor the sound with amp and cables.
Some times may take a little work but I think it is worth it.
So do not write and say that flats suck depends on what they are hooked to they can be very nice. In fact at times may be the best for grados.

On my Sr325i i put a set of Koss UR5 pads and then the Grado bowls
Very nice comfort, no loss of bass, some loss of highs, but that's no problem with the SR235's imo
