The PK 1s defnitely need an amp. Don't know about the PK 2s, but if you compare their impedance and sensitivity you can get idea about if they need an amp. Based on your choices the ES 7s would be good. The Sony V6's are not bad headphones, but you won't go wrong with ES 7s.

yeah I want nothing that needs an amp.
So its ES7's or PK 2 or 3's. I mean I'm willing to get 2's but I dont wanna buy something that I can't use the potential of.

Maybe the AKG K450 ?
I'm using this set when i'm in the train etc.

No more m50s. Only over ears I'm looking at now r es7's.
I'm stick between pk2, pk3 or ok3.
Suggestions?

es7's and M50's have a very different sound. you should do a little more thinking about what you want, and then choose. The M50 is the only AT i've ever liked. Didn't like the PK's

I vote for the ATH-M50 or the PK2's for your needs.

I'm not looking to spend over 100 now. If I get full size I'll get the m50's for sure but now. I'm down to the ear buds. It'll just be easier when moveing around and cheaper. I just need to pick.

I was leaning towards the ok3 being I heard they r the best of both worlds. Thought?

Where are you located? Many of us M50 owners have gotten them off of ebay for less than $100.00 shipped- got mine from Nationwide Pro Audio (authorized dealer for AT). These are great headphones!

The PK2's do get loud enough with just a portable player, but they do improve a lot with an amp. However, looking at your favourite genres of music and your source (ipod), I'd recommend PK3's over them as they'll have more of the bass you likely want.
