need different tips for UE triple.fi 10s

UE triple.fi 10s arrived today and just as I feared, none of the tips fit my ears at all.

I've never gotten that great of a seal with anything that didn't go into my ear canal. I think the reason might be that my ears are pretty wide, so even with the largest tips I still don't get enough pressure on the side of my ears to keep the headphones from falling out. The best fit that I've gotten are actually from the triple flange silicone tips from etys.

Are there any triple flange tips or tips that go a little farther into the ear canal for the triple.fi 10s? If not, is there any way to get the stock tips to be a bit firmer? I think that I saw a thread where someone cut out foam tips and placed them inside of the silicone ones but I can't find the thread anymore and I'm not sure that they were for UEs.

thanks

Go custom tips. I couldn't get on with any silicons, and foamies get dirty quickly and don't last long. And they still plop out or lose the seal.

The Shure E2C tips fit perfectly on the TF10, you could maybe try the large size orange foam tips? They are both firmer and wider than the Comply foams so they should fit tighter.

+1 on the e2c silicons... I just cut about 1/8 of an inch from the "stem" so that the bulb of the tip sat more flush to the housing...

The Large Shure olives (which in my experience are ENORMOUS) are a bit of a struggle to get on the TF10 (according to people on this forum) but it can be done, and people seem to really like the results.

Shure - Clear Flex Sleeves

are these the ones that you're talking about? im cautious about getting anything that doesnt go into the ear canal without trying it first, but this does look like it could work because i think the stock tips might fit if they were firmer.

i have the shure slc4's and nothing other than the tri-flanges fit that well on that either. does anyone know how those silicone tips compare to the e2c's?

you could also just have them reshelled into customs by fisher hearing for a little over a hundred bucks. Thats what i'm doing when i get mine. I have the opposite problem from you, my ears are far to small... I ended up returning a pair of RE0 because i couldn't get them to comfortably seal into my ear. thankfully this deal came up, and these are definitely worth getting customs

Sennheise IE series tips will also work. You can supposedly order the tips right from Sennheiser's site. I have a new pair of TF10's coming, and plan on using my Senn tips with them. Another friend from HF has done that, and highly recommends the Senn foam tips on the Triples.

I've had a hard time getting a good seal with most IEMs and hearing these TF10 are uncomfortable and all that I was worried. I actually got a perfect seal my first try with hem. Somethig I didntget once with allll 10 tips that came with my westone 2 lol

they do stick outfar from my ear. But the bass was so good I must have had a good seal. That or there bass is just that good. They are huge n the cable sucks. I used the complys for my seal. Not sure how long I can wear em though.

I'm highly thinking of going custom

There's also these tips, which another HF'er recommended and says work well with his TF10s:

The long double-flanges from Head Direct phones (RE0/1/2) will fit if you stretch them a little. Head Direct sells them separately.

yeah it looks like some kind of bi-flange tip might be the best bet unless I want to get custom. would love to be able to order from amazon since i have prime.

I mean these: Shure - Black Foam Sleeves

I'm sure you can get them for cheaper if you look. I found them for $10 at an electronics shop at Newark airport, although I've been back since and it looks like they stopped carrying them.

I had good experience from IE8 foam tips back to the day I had IE8. I guess it will cost 30USD to get it from Sennheiser's site. That freaks me out......

If anyone manage to get Sennheiser foam tips form ebay?

I will take foam tip match TF10 pro well, as far a I know, TF10 pro is analytical, clear sound, foam tips has been proofed to provide warmness and richness, let alone better impact in other phones. That is exactly what TF 10 pro needs, at least for me.

Shure black foam matches TF10 pro? Thought TF10 pro nozzle is pretty large.............
