ROFL!

Yeah, it all sounds good to me right now, I just have an obsessive personality if you haven't noticed.

Thanks, guys.

Well, if I ever need to hire on some help, I'll know who to go to.

Fraggler, you said you wanted something that looks good and fits your budget.

That's your answer. Find something visually appealing and buy it if it's reasonable. Don't worry about sound quality. No one can tell the difference without seeing the cable.

As for taking out the fun, I think you're completely wrong. Fun is when
you stop sweating the small stuff and simply enjoy the music. If you spend an hour fretting over the "difference" between the sound of copper and silver, that's an hour of music listening (or sleep, or work, or whatever) that you've wasted.

You'll be much happier if you don't care about the cables and, instead, get excited about a new CD you bought.

Very, very true words. But don't worry, I have my headphones on and am throughly enjoying my music while obsessing about the small stuff Oddly enough, my enjoyment of my headphones and music and my making of cables are almost two independent hobbies.

Personally I find building amps and such is a lot more fun that worrying about parts or design. That's for the real pros. Listening is almost as fun as building too.

interconnect RCA cable connector impedance effects are some of the smaller in a system

IC connector material/plating effects would be expected to make ~mOhm changes even at the top of the audio frequency range

typical IC are going to be working into ~>10K Ohms for a lower value volume pot, MegaOhm for a buffered input

the effect on the signal transfer is determined by the impedance division ratio

adding a few mOhm to a source driving >10 KOhm receiver load isn't going to be detectable under any circumstance at ~ -140 dB down
