Beezar used to sell the 19J6's, though he appears to be out?
Google is your friend.
There were discussions about design modifications for other tubes in the
Starving Student MegaThread if I recall correctly, so you might consider that.
Finally, what might be a bit above your price range but stands as a very good amp, might be the
CKKIII. I believe it can be built for just about $150. It's often compared to the M^3 likely because of the price, but topologically it's much more like a JISBOS. Fully discrete, DC regulator on the PCB. I don't believe SSMH PCB's can be had anymore, however AMB has a supply of CK2III boards. I seem to recall Jeff at
GlassJarAudio offering a kit if you email him.
Actually, further stream of consciousness, but you might consider Beezar's MiniMAX kit. It's all inclusive and comes with panels, though it's $220. I've mounted metal panels to wood in the past for a few reasons, one of which being the thickness of the wood I was using and another being aesthetic.
Welcome to Head-Fi, where $10 turns into $50, $50 turns into $150, and $150 turns into a β22.
