iPod nano 5th generation with a LOD?

Greetings

I'm thinking of getting an iPod nano 5th generation, but was wondering: do these work with a LOD? I'm using a 1st generation nano with a LOD and a FiiO E5, and it works great: the LOD bypasses the iPod's amp and volume control, and gives a nice, clean line-out signal into the E5.

Is this the case with the new iPod nano 5th generation? Would it work with the same LOD that I use for my iPod nano 1st generation? (I've read that some newer iPods don't work with old LODs, but I don't know the details...)

The pin config for the LOD on the old Ipod is different than with the new Nano. The new LOD will work with the old iPods but the old one doesn't work. You need a new LOD.
