New customs or amp?

Well I am contemplating a purchase. I currently have a pair of ue-11 pro and a pair of ue-5c and will have a new ipod shortly. I am wondering if I should save up and go with a new pair of iems aka jh-13pro or purchase an amp for the ipod. I have used amps in the past mostly from ray samuels and head-amp and was looking at the new rsa amps. I have used rsa hornet, tomahawk, sr-71, and the head amp pico. I was looking at a tomahawk again or a p51 or shadow.

Given that you've already got high end earphones I would suggest getting an amp and a line out dock.

I can recommend the Meier Audio 3Move from personal experience and I have heard good things on head-fi about all the RSA amps.

If you're in the US then it would probably be easier for you to purchase from a US company.

Steven.

Only one opinion here? Anyone else concur or disagree.

I would recommend the iBasso, real value.

I recently sold my 3Move to buy a Tomahawk. The 3Move was a friggin' fantastic sounding amp, but just not portable enough for me. The Tomahawk is just as good of an amp, in my opinion, but the trade-off is no DAC.

I would agree that you should go with an amp and LOD. You already have good earphones, and you'd be surprised how much better they will sound (I'm speculating here) with a good LOD feeding the signal to a good amp.

I agree about the sound. I have loved all my amps in the past and had great lod's for them. I currently have one I got off a friend that was made by a member here in Australia. It is a great lod.
