Ultimate Ears UE4 Pro vs. Etymotic ER4S

Could you please help me choose between the two?
If I am getting ER4S, I will be getting the custom ear mold.

Just for your reference, I have not tried any of the ultimate ears series, but I do own ER6 and just love the sound signature of it and I thought the time has come for me to upgrade.
Also, I have headphone amplifier, so the higher impedance of ER4s does not worry me.
So which one should I buy?
Your input will be greatly appreciated...!

Jason.

Etys

I really like my ER4P (and 4S when using the conversion cable). They have the best treble of any IEM I have ever heard.

Just FYI, it's not the best use of your money to get the 4S, since you can create something perfectly equivalent to a 4S with a 4P and an adapter cable that increases the resistance.
You can't go from a 4S to a 4P, though, and a 4P may be necessary to get adequate volume from some portable sources.

Get the S and a decent amp with the savings.

So...pretty much everyone thinks that I should get ER4P(or S with P adapter) with custom mold instead of UE4 pro?

Definitely.

This is great advice! That's what I have done and with this little cable you can have both!

The ER-4P when traveling without an amp, and when at home with my RSA Hornet it turns into a ER-4S.

Have your cake and eat it too.

It isn't true that you can't get adequate volume with a 4S from (some portable sources). The volume is there, it's just not very good volume, very flat and pasty. When I plug into an amp I get dimension.
