53GBs!! so it was related to system restore/backup

here are the instructions..

See how much storage in Volume 'C'

Type this into CMD. (Administrator Privs)

vssadmin List ShadowStorage


Getting rid of old Restore Points Volume 'C'

Type this into CMD. (Administrator Privs)


vssadmin Resize ShadowStorage /For=C: /On=C: /MaxSize=2048MB

NB: 1024 = 1GB.

i resized to 2GB cause i dont need it

It is frustrating when the OS hides things from you even when you are using the administrator account.

The shadow copies can be a neat and useful feature if you know it is there. But it is well hidden and few people know it is there to even use it to recover a file.
