Going Custom! Which ones to mold?

I'm going to be sending off for customs in the coming week but I'm on the fence of which pair I should send! I have:

Shure E5c
Shure Se530
TripleFi 10

Which one would sound the best of the three? It will probably become my main pair so this is an important decision.

So which should I send???

I know you're all going to say it's subjective, but i'm looking for opinions. I know that sometimes the sound sigs change on these when they're molded so which is the best candidate?

Any opinions?

triple fi 10 because their casing sticks out of the ear way too much and they're overall design is subpar imo.

Which one will you use more? That should be your question.

I haven't gotten the Triple Fi's in yet but I was wondering if some take to the custom process better than others. I love my Se530's but I guess I'd like to remold the ones that would benefit the most from it.

I remember I was at the UE factory when they were in Las Vegas and I had a chance to listen to some UE10's they had there for demo... If I could get anywhere near that sound with TripleFi 10's recased in custom molds than it would definitely be better than my stock Se530s...

lol wait until you get them, then decide. Don't rush the process just yet.

For instance, if I were to take my IEM collection and try to decide which one sounds better, I could tell you which one, but I like them all due to their own differences. But, if I had to choose one, it would be the RE0.

Of the three you listed, the Triple Fi 10 is my favorite. You didn't list my actual favorite, which is the UM3X, but even then, the TF10 has one very important advantage: the dual bore sound tubes. This is important. Having separate bores for high and low lets you modify the filters separately. This is something the UM3X can't do because its white filter is in a single tube. With the UM3X, the filter you put in is the one that will cover all of the drivers, which means you can't trim the bass with a thick filter without affecting the tweeter. The TF10 is already a great-sounding earphone but having the ability to tailor the sound to your own tastes is a great advantage.

This is the kind of advice I'm looking for. Thanks I would not have considered the advantages custom filters using the TF10.

My pleasure.

but, if you do a custom mold, the sound tubes will be different. Since you are making a new cast for it.

I would say the TF 10 because as 'big sound' stated, they do stick out a bit and look weird. This is not to say custom moulds wont look weird either :P I reckon leave the Shure's alone, or if you love the TF 10 and don't want the sound to change at all, I would recommend moulding the Shure E5c because the SE530 are already fantastic and you could try and compare a Shure stock to Shure custom moulded.

How do you figure? The TF10 requires a different set of universal tips, because the dual-bore sound tube is wider than the single-bore tubes used by most IEMs, but the dual-bore sound tubes on the TF10 don't look different from the custom dual-bore sound tubes on UE's 4,7, 10 or 11. Do you see any difference? If so, what do you see?

I'd say the TF10 because the deal u got on them. And I've heard great things about them as customs. Maybe send the e5c and the TF10 and use all the drivers and keep ur se530 lol
