.
Just going from memory here, but these are the ones I can think of on CD, SACD, and DVD-A:
Beck - Sea Change
Sheryl Crow - The Globe Sessions (I can't remember if this was DVD-A - it might just be a DTS CD)
Deep Purple - Machine Head
Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms (DualDisc has DVD-A if I remeber correctly)
Emerson, Lake, and Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery
Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Mark Knopfler - Shangri-La
Steely Dan - Gaucho
Sting - Brand New Day
Sting - Sacred Love
Shania Twain - Up!
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road or Gaucho might be your best bet for doing the shootout at a halfway reasonable price. On the other hand, something like Sacred Love might be a better bet, since I think the DVD-A and SACD were done at the same time and would be the same mastering - thus an apples to apples shootout.

Is there a listing of albums that have releases/versions on both SACD and DVD-A?
I just got a used Toshiba SD 6915 carousel that does DVD-A and SACD, so I thought it'd be an interesting a/b/c test with a CD, SACD and DVD-A. |
