my guess is 320GB disks could be in stores sometime next month or even by the end of this month but they have a SATA interface AFAIK, which means that players with PATA/ZIF connectors need some heavy modding or will be stuck with lower capacity disks.

Thanks; do you know if iPods have AFAIK or PATA/ZIF connectors, and does this change with iMod-ification?

I think you might be thinking of 2.5" laptop drives; these are for iPods

AFAIK = As Far As I Know

I'm not an expert in ipod modding but I suppose models from different generations may have different interfaces. there are many kinds of adapters available, although most of them are used to connect smaller disks/memory cards to laptops and desktop PCs.
