I just bought the Meier porta corda MKIII and build it.
when its done I have some issue with the solder connection and finding out the bad connection by connecting/bypassing the connection (+ - of the capacitor). will it cause damage?

and now the problem is I get less volume out of the iphone w/ amps than without amp with max volume on both. its around 10-15% differences. is it suppose to be like that? or something damaged in my amps? capacitor?

help me out guys..

Uhhh....if I'm reading that right and you bypassed a capacitor, you could certainly cause damage. I'm not familiar with the amp but bypassing a power cap would cause a short in the power supply (very bad) while bypassing output capacitors (if there are any) could allow a large DC offset at the output, which could fry your headphones.

You should never use bypassing a component with a short circuit as a means of diagnostics, just as a general suggestion
