Thanks for the information. I'll be praying for Rick and his family. I've been around for a while and remember he and his posts. Like you, I'm not a big DIY'er. I was always impressed with his knowledge and passion.

I haven't had much opportunity to interact with Rick, but his posts have been invaluable, especially in the DIY section.

A family member - whom I love dearly - went through a tough fight with lung cancer last year. She beat it.

Then it came back.

And she beat it again. We think she's won. I hope so.

A tough prognosis is not the end. Fight it, and fight it with everything you have. Forget the odds, take it on and do everything you can.

I'm pulling for you. Best wishes and remember that you have a whole community on your side. You need to win this fight and come out stronger on the other side.

I'm new here and don't know Rick but he sounds like a really good guy. That a sad thing going on and I hope it all works out for the best. I really do. My grandma had breast cancer, she had a breast removed and thought all the cancer was gone. Then it moved to here lungs and just about everywhere else, she unfortunately passed away. Fight it hard Rick, never give up. On I side note I believe more time needs to be put into curing cancer than treating it. Treating is more like a delay, it may cure it if you are a lucky one or a guy with a lot of hope and a damned good fighter.
