Casework

What tools would be needed to do casework well? On both metal and wood.

A CNC router

For metal, I would say a drill press and quality drill bits. A vice and a hand drill would work too, but it can be trickier to do bigger holes right.
Also a dremel w/ a milling bit for non-round shapes, or a mill if you can afford it.

This is from the top of my head, I'm sure there will be many other useful suggestions.

For wood I really can't say since I don't have much experience.

Files (one about 0.25 inches wide, and one about 0.5 inches wide)
Coping Saw

Metal
Stepped drill bit
[Optional] Dremel

Wood
Drill bits (stepped bit may not make it through the thickness of the wood at a single size)
[Optional] Router + bits
[Optional] Orbital Sander
[Optional] Carving Tools
