I will be getting a used one in a couple of days, along with a terralink X for usb input. I will let you know what I think, although only compared to my low end pcm 2705 hotaudio MK 4

hi daniel, the kit seller is not helping with any pictures of assembled DACs. I am stuck with some components' location of the board. Looking forward for your inputs...

hi got my hifidiynet dac with teralink X the dac is however the 1793 not the 09 like you are building sorry for the mix up

the dac feed by optical is very nice however...smoother, less harsh, less forward and more musical than the 2705 I have been using Dan

would EMI be a problem in a wooden chassis. Any ideas on how to ground in a wooden chassis ??

I would suggest the OP to post in DIY section where more help would be forthcoming.
