iPod Touch 3G line-out SQ sufficient?

I've decided to buy a pair of RE0s and probably pair them up with an iBasso T4 soon. I live in NYC where I'm sure I can get wifi in a lot of places, and I know I can get it at friends' houses, so I'm leaning towards getting one of the newer third-generation iPod Touches.

I've done my searching around Head-Fi and most of the information seems to be about the 2G Touches. I'm wondering, for anyone with experience with the device, how the sound quality of the third-gen Touches are from line-out. Would it pair nicely with the RE0s + iBasso T4 or would I be blowing money for nothing?

That is the exact question I also have Mr A. Could some of you experts here please enlighten up as to the quality of SQ using the line out. I will be using the Headstage Arrow and the HD 25's and ATH ES7.
