That's just a stupid comment. With the advent of netbooks (which are all typically 1024 width) 1024 is the standard resolution for web development. Especially on non-flash/text-oriented sites.

LOL! And of course ignoring the fastest (and possibly only) growing segment of the computer sector!

Thanks Yukihero. I think firefox has zoom capability but I'm at work at the moment and only have IE 6 (can you believe that?) so I can't check. I haven't noticed that the specific pages have pictures on them. Anyway, it's not a problem, just odd in that it just seems to be random.

The funny thing is that it's usually only one or two screens every so often. I can be reading a thread and everything's fine then the next page is too wide, then the pages after are fine.
While using my netbook I found one cause of this problem!

immtbiker's location and member title are both so wide that it causes the whole page to load wider than it normally would. On my netbook, I have to use horizontal scroll when reading a thread he's posted in. I could probably tone down font size and fix it, as the problem is not severe.

I've also seen member names that are so long, it changes the entire look of a thread and all of its posts. Though, that may have been the old head-fi forum software, not sure.

That's funny! Netbook users everywhere annoyed because a username is too long!
