Head-Fi screen size

Is there a setting in Head-Fi that lets you change the screen size. I have to scan left or right to see the pages and I don't want to buy a wide screen monitor or change my window settings. Head-fi seems like the only site I am having the problem. Thanks for any help.

Are you using Firefox?

Is it on the entire website, or just some threads?

No settings for screen size.
But you can choose LEFT/RIGHT COLUMN style, and even become a Contributing Member to fully remove it. That should help...

move the advert panel to the right (drop down box at the bottom of the page lets you select left or right). So long as you're at 1024 pixels wide, you should be able to browse fine while the ad panel remains scrolled off to the right.

It's an annoying thing that ad bar, and was originally promised to be only temporary (that seems a long time ago now). And if you use scripts to remove it it causes issues when reading MOT sub forums which don't have the bar.

Alternatively, hold down CTRL and scroll up nd down to adjust the display size.

Seems like pretty bad web design to have a page that doesn't fit on 1024 x 768

and when the web stretches to 1920width without any problems. Web pages should be standardized to 1024 in width.

Sorry, Arugentun but I would rather put my money on Hi-Fi. Thanks Krmathis and Duggeh, changeing the Left-Right settings fixed my problem. This is much easier to
search now.

I sometimes have the too wide problem as well.

The funny thing is that it's usually only one or two screens every so often. I can be reading a thread and everything's fine then the next page is too wide, then the pages after are fine.

I think that's probably when people post big pictures.

I'm not sure if there are any standalone programs out there like this (or browser add-ons), but my Asus 1005HA netbook has a zoom in/out feature for webpages. It's pretty neat because it saves the zoom settings for each website. I now have Head-Fi zoomed out a little bit to get everything to fit on my netbook screen, and it stays that way every time I log on.

Well, I have the 1920 problem as my monitor is from 2008 (1920x1200), and my laptop, also from 2008 has 1024x768.
