I actually still haven't received the RE0 (it's been two weeks, but I got the RE252 over one weekend??) and am shipping them back for a refund since I saw the RE252 deal.

Just got the RE252 (ordered Friday night). A few observations:

1. They are much bigger in person
2. They are much more comfortable in person
3. The packaging is much smaller in person
4. The nozzles are slightly smaller than the conventional 5.5mm and a bit slippery; as a result my de-cored Olives, Soundmagic Foamies, and generic bi-flanges won't stay on properly. A little disappointed about the olives. Their softness would go well with these earphones. Might have to figure out what size complys fit on these (T500?) and see if I can mount olive foam on them
5. That said, I'm using some Altec Lansing bi-flanges (left over from UHP336) and they sound great. A little smaller/softer than the Head-Direct bi-flanges, which is nice.

I wouldn't do that so fast. Might want to try both first and see which you like first.

^^Good to know |joker|. Hopefully Kezghan and I receive ours soon. Customs as always will slow the progress of the parcels.

It's actually good news the nozzle on the RE252s is smaller because it will make expanding the nozzle on olives easier, which is the method I use.

It will also make them easier to take out which sometimes results in damage of the olives.

Few more thoughts:

1. These are very tolerant of crappy sources. They don't hiss at all even with my netbook (not that the RE0s do, but these have much lower impedance).

2. The silicone is a dust magnet. Dropped them on a dusty part of my desk by accident and they look like a ball of dust.

3. I really like the new plug but I'm not sure about the new cable. It's pretty flexible, yes, but it has a little more memory character than the old RE0 cloth cable and also doesn't look as classy . Also it's thinner than the cable on my $9 JVC Marshmallows lying alongside. The marshmallows cable is softer and more flexible, too .

Pretty good at first listen but I've been using them in a skype call for the past two hours - not exactly a proper test. Soundstage is definitely wider than the RE0 though.

Listening to mine right now off a millett hybrid.

How does the isolation compare to the RE0s because I heard these actually have an open design.

Isolation is fine. I didn't want to bother with biflanges today (too difficult to insert/remove) so I'm using some single-flange soundmagic silicone tips. Isolation is sufficient for daily commute, though not as good as RE0+olives. Will try biflanges one of these days - I'm sure they isolate better. Might have to make a new set of De-Cored olives for these. Too tempting to have an entirely soft earphone .

the earphones are designed to be worn down, but some have commented them that its possible to wear them over the ears. to the owners, how's the comfort level in doing so?

I don't see how they can be worn up comfortably without reversing left/right or severing part of the housing.

mine came in today to, but I have not heard them yet.

Mine are still being shipped (from China!), and as I lent my dad my CX500s for a business trip he's on, I have nothing that I can listen to in noisy areas.
What a shame.
