For Sale: Unique hand-crafted Metal / Wood Grado SR-225's - gorgeous and one of a kind.
I do hate to sell these - but I'm trying to finance a Stax Amp and and funds are tight after Christmas.
The wooden cups and rod locks are made out of beautiful rare Lacewood and the Headband is a genuine JMoneyGrado Lambskin dark brown leather headband.
The headband rod clamp has been replaced with one made out of thinner guage (14g) nickel-silver, so there is no plastic left at all on these beauties. They were cleaned tup real nice, but the nickel/silver looked a bit sterile - so the artisan heated it up again to give a little bit of oxidation on it, adding a bit of colorand sheen. Nickel-silver is a bit more fragile than the original stainless steel. With a thinner gauge rod the artisan made new headband clamps again out of matching Lacewood with set screws.
The headphones are recabled with Canare Starquad and a 1/8" Neutrik connector- visible in the pictures.
These headphones are a bit more delicate than the original SR-225, but they are much more unique, and stunningly gorgeous.
