Advice Wanted =] for Classical music headphone system under $2500

I just wanted to thank everyone for their help =]

My mother loved the HE-5/EF5 combo.

However, she prefers speakers, and she feels uncomfortable since I'm not with her anymore, to touch the gears. Not very friendly with computers either.

I thought I should add the final note so that someone else who is in my position can make a better decision then I.

The rest is my story after.

She is packing it up as we speak to send it to me. I'm in Seoul S.Korea right now and I can't wait until it arrives.

The journey to get my mother a classical system eventually lead me to become hooked in sounds, which for better or worse I can not decide if it is a curse, or a blessing. =]

I just can't stop reading about this stuff!!!

I can't forget the first time I turned the HE5/EF5 on with Dacmagic and played Time to Say goodbye FLAC, it truly blew my mind away.
Mind you I went from 20~50$ earphones to IE8, and then to HE5/EF5.
IE8 was a shock, but HE5/EF5 was just.. unbelievable.
I was hearing the music all wrong. The voices I thought I knew of the singers I listened to, I was wrong. The sound of instruments, it was really.. just mindblowing.
I still read about head-fi and half the time, I don't understand the jargons. The numbers and all the units confuse me and I have no idea, but I want to learn.
Yesterday I went to some stores to listen to JH16, AH-D5000, HD800, Westone 3, SE530, and Triplefi10. I heard the JH16s without any amp, connected to my iphone and it was just.. incredible.

The thought of listening to it properly matched with all the rest of the gear, the thought of listening to the sound it will make with the new JH3A...

I am having hard time sleeping.
I want to listen to them so bad.

I was about to order them and luckily, my friend broke me out of the spell.
Is there a word for this spell I was under?
I know in my head that I should go from bottom up, learning all the numbers and electronics and the parts to truly appreciate the masterpiece. BUT the desire... the need to listen to that sound in my imagination.. my god they are so tempting.. I never wanted something this much in my life.

I will be purchasing few books to make my own speaker/amp to better understand this world so I can truly truly appreciate the amount of genius put into making these amazing gears.

Money well spent, doesn't really cut it.
This is probably the best that money has ever bought for me.

When I first learned card tricks, and jumped into the world of magic, I did not know whether to thank or not because once you get in, you can never become the audience and be amazed like before. However, you can amaze others and that has been a true magic for me.

So I thank you, head-fiers, for guiding me to this world which I will not be able to leave now!

Cheers =]

Congrats on getting the system. Hopefully your mom will find what she is looking for.  It was a nice thing to do for her.

Thank you =]
I hope she does find what she is looking for as well!
Right now she listens to her speaker system we bought for her some six years ago when we knew nothing about audio equipment so I'm sure it needs improvement. I will really enjoy learning about this stuff so hopefully my mother and I can go on a journey to look for 'her sound'.
