weird, found MDR-7506 box in sisters room cleaning out parents house

This was really weird to me, my sister is no audiophile by any means, and today I found an empty Sony MDR-7506 (same as MDR-V6 apparently) box in her bedroom when I was helping my parents cleaning out in there house. Apparently she needed good headphones for some studio class she took in college, not sure if my dad researched or if they just picked them out by dumb luck. Mom says they got them at best buy or something. My dad is somewhat careful when it comes to buying stereo equipment since he likes to have good sound, but I don't think he knows anything about headphones.

I'm going to see if my sister still has them and if she'd sell them to me to upgrade from my Porta Pro's. lol.

Those really aren't bad, that's a good find. They're built like a tank and isolate really well.

I text msg'd her and asked if she still had them. Her reply was "Sony MDR-something or others? Yeah I have them here in toronto. You want em? I can send them back with mom tomorrow"

Sweet! How much of an upgrade do you think these would be from my Porta Pro's? The isolation would be nice too.

V6s are a great phone, with good isolation and does not need an amp. However Portapros are very nice as well. I'd chock it up as a win having two very nice budget phones- one open, and one closed.

Isolate and quartine the house, call in reinforcements and began a room by room search for K1000s!

I came across a nice pair of earbuds (Vmoda? not sure) while cleaning out my daughter's double-wide a few weeks ago. Knowing they belonged to her friend, I returned them. Oh, well...no biggie. Also found a good router in a closet, still in the shrinkwrap - now that was nice.

Apparently they are waiting for me to pick them up at my parents house now. I'll do a comparison to my Porta Pro's once I get them home and try them out.
