Ipod touch - questions

Hi

Got a 1st gen 8 gig touch which is great apart from the fact that it's only 8 gig! Have been looking at the 32 gig 3rd gen (was tempted by the 2nd gen refurb at £179 on the uk store but its no longer there). Aside from the obvious size capacity increases are there any other advantages to the 3rd gen over the 1st? Had been looking at the ipod 160 classic as well for obvious reasons but don't like the idea of a hard drive based player anymore for out and about use (would be using it at work). Listen to audiobooks and rock music. Headphones would be either sennheiser px100 or cx300-II.

I also have a I touch 1 that is full although mine is a 16gb touch, so i am in the same boat as you. I ahve looked at sony, creative, cowon etc and have come to the conclusion I have 2 options

1. A 64gb touch - uber expensive with loads of crap that I dont use but docks with everything and actually works

2. a Classic - super cheap, massive storage, everything I like about ipods but without all the useless bits. Plus it docks with everything and actually works.

I'm going to buy a classic!
