The ED10 is just... sorry for saying this, but it looks cheap IMO. Denon d7000, HD 800 and T1 rule the headphone market in terms of looks (if you ask me)

Although I slightly prefer the k601 sound, the k701s are, in my eyes, possibly the best-looking headphones ever created. The old Grado RS-1s come a close second.

Just found a good review that included some pretty awesome pics, couldn't resist sharing the fanciest of 'em. German engineering at it's best! atsmile.gif

Well to me that depends. For example, the D7000's wooden earcups look absolutely gorgeous (have not seen in person though), the R10 on the other hand, is a horribly ugly headphone IMO.

How can that NOT be beautiful?

I'm still in awe when I look at them.

I knew it was only a matter of time until the barneys showed up in one of these threads! biggrin.gif

I like wooden headphones, but I don't really like the look of the Denon's.  The headband looks cheap and ugly to me and I generally just think they look like they're trying to be too classy and luxurious.  I much prefer the way wood is used in Smeggy's Thunderpants.  It looks classy, but it also looks more useful and durable and mechanical than the Denons.  It looks more like a musical instrument than a piece of furniture.

I think the akg 701/2 are really nice. Denon D7000 too. Oh, and Beyerdynamic T1's
