Hey,
I had a pair of UE Super.Fi 5 pros until a couple weeks ago when one of the earpieces split in half for no apparent reason, and logitech don't seem to want to reply to my email requesting a replacement pair (although i'll fight till the end...)
So, this appears the perfect excuse to be on the market for a new pair. I am currently debating between another pair of IEMs or one of those good looking portable small / folding headphones. I've had a pair of Siennheiser HD 205s, but to be honest im not particularly blown away by them.
Would I get better sound out of folding headphones than IEMs with the same budget? I'd assume so because i'm guessing some audio quality is lost through smaller drivers... but I know I could be wrong. My budget is around £100 GBP but i'll stretch to $200 USD if there is something really exciting at that price point.
I listen to everything from Dylan to Elvis (Costello) to The Hold Steady to The Pixies to The Flaming Lips and Fleet Foxes... If that makes any difference to your recommendations.
Many thanks...
