Need help....recommendantions.

I want to buy a portable player. Most probably a mp3 player.

So...which would be the best choice for 100 euros?

The only thing i'm interested in is the sound quality. I want the best for the money i have for now. Memory, looks, are all secondary, or not even that.

I am waiting for your suggestions. Thanks.

If you want the best sound and that's your only concern for about 100 euros then my recommendation is the AMP3 either Pro1 or Pro2 (about $160 USD). I don't think you'll find better sound for the price. Still there's plenty of information on it here in the forums and I recommend you take a look. You might say that all is secondary to sound until you experience some of its quirks.

Just so you know I have both the AMP3 Pro1 & Pro2. So I know first hand about the sound quality and some of the frustrations that come with them.

How's IRiver as a brand? Any good?

I've heard good things, but I've never actually owned one. I'm sure that there's MB of text here dedicated to one flavour or another of them. A quick search will probably link you up with more than you want to read

Sansa Fuze.

Cheap, portable, versatile, and superb sound quality.

No special programs to use it, just drag and drop your music onto the device. Has a sweet on-board EQ if you want to tweak the sound. Plays all kinds of music files to include the all-mighty FLAC files.

Great price, great system, amazing sound.

Wow...seems like a great deal after reading something about it.

This is why i need recommendations when it comes with portable players. There are a million models. It's hard to choose.

I'm definitely keeping my eye on the Sansa Fuze, the 4GB model would be enough for me.
