Well, theres many ways to approach "rock is dead".................it's obviously not dead. But it is not the focus of the industry as it once was. But it's not dead at all. It's a refined art. Just like Jazz was in 70s and onward. Jazz is not dead, but its a refined art with a very devoted but smaller audience than it was in the 30s 40s and 50s. Same with rock. Rock is about where jazz was in the 70s in terms of age and audience. In 30 years it will still be alive, but it will be what Jazz is today most probably......And Rap will possibly be where rock is today.
