Are you still trying to ditch those d2000s?
Just interested, is all

-----------------------------------------------------

I guess a few years back(or so it seems), I once did put the D-2000s into the for sale sub-forum, but then withdrew them within hours, and never thought or wrote about selling them again since...

So, this PM was totally out of the blue and had me wondering ...

Junior didn't reply to my PM asking: "Cold call much, do you ?" and my asking for a name.

Just curious is all ~

Spam or scam? I think u mean the former, right?

Doesn't look like scamming at all...

He didn't reply because you probably scared the crap out of him...or her

I do wonder if it was wise to remove the 50 post limit on access to the for sale forums. Scams can easily happen like this.

i probably wouldn't respond to that either.

I did the exact same thing last week.

After searching for beyer dt220's, I found a member who listed a pair last year on the FS forum. I pm'd that member hoping he/she had the pair, but got no reply.

A lot of people discover threads by searching (google or otherwise) and don't think to look at the date. It's probably not a scam.

I think it is not fishy. I would do the same if there was something on the FS boards I really wanted to get my hands on. Actually did once, the poster did not reply and I moved on without thinking twice.

I agree that this pm looks legit

Lobsterking did try to flip some HP2's to me, by making a new username (which was promptly banned 3 days later). Asked for way too much, which when combined with a postcount of 5, set off the alarm

Seems harmless to me... paranoid much, are you?

I bet $140AUD that he's legit

I hope this works out for you and that he decides to do the right thing in the end.

The 140 in my paypal account is his money, working out real good

Eh, this seems like some guy searched the thread for D2000s, looked at the first open ad, and didn't check the date. However, I for one would like the 50 post minimum re-instated, or some other form of moderator approval. It is disconcerting to see these people with no history asking to buy things.

someone's a bit too paranoid...
